Pitter, Patter…

It is 5:10 in the morning and the rain just started.  I have watched for hours as it marched across the state and then the virga and now the gentle pitter patter of rain on my eaves.  It is so comforting.  Many years we’ve had a drought and now that is so very broken.   It should rain for most of the day and rain is forecast for tomorrow as well.  Time to cuddle up in the bed and go to sleep to it’s gentle sound.  If I only had a little muted thunder to escalate the mood! :-)
