Storms and much rain are already forming over Eastern Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri. These storms will be moving into the Deep South overnight. Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa are even seeing some wintry weather this morning. Kansas has been hit especially hard with snow and ice storms this year. I know they need a break. They could always send it Southeast to Alabama! :-)
The ABC 33/40 weather blog weather extreme video is already up for this morning. I strongly recommend viewing the video if you live in the South and are a weather fan. You get to see the actual computer models used in forecasting. You will also learn it is not an exact science. James Spann and crew love to hype up something ten days in advance only for it to not materialize in time. Take it with a grain of salt. They have been talking about snow for months only for us weather fans to be let down every time.

Wow, if you look REALLLLLY close, Andrew, right in the center of Illinois in a tiny little town just north of Springfield you can see me, my daughter, my sister and her kids in the basement of her house, playing Nintendo Wii, scarfing junk food and riding out the TORNADO warning we got in the middle of January! It was quite a night!
