A short lived arctic blast will invade the east coast in the next few days. The big story is the bouts of rain and snow for the mountains on the west coast.
Wind chill advisories are once again in place for the Midwest. The combination of a fresh shot of arctic air and biting winds will create wind chill values that are much lower than actual temperature readings.
The rain for the South was short lived and not very potent. We need all the rain we can get to claw out of our deficit. There was widespread reports of ice in Northeast Alabama and eastern Tennessee near Knoxville.

i grew up with a weather obsessed father and think it's charming and interesting taht you are so into it.
also, would love to know why the forecasters, despite all teh technology at their fingertips, can't get it right?
