It got much colder last night here than they had predicted. The low was 34 degrees just before daybreak. Our weekend snow storm is looking less and less likely. I wish the meteorologists would wait until just a few days before it is supposed to hit before hyping such an occurrence. I think ratings have something to do with it.
The West continues to grapple with storm after storm. Record snowfalls have been recorded in the Sierra Nevada's -- a boon to the ski resorts. Flash flood watches are posted for the coast and coastal mountains from Paso Robles south to San Diego. Winter storm watches have been issued for parts of Washington, Oregon and Idaho in anticipation of a new storm to arrive Monday night and Tuesday.
