Cold Invades...

A short lived arctic blast will invade the east coast in the next few days. The big story is the bouts of rain and snow for the mountains on the west coast.

Wind chill advisories are once again in place for the Midwest. The combination of a fresh shot of arctic air and biting winds will create wind chill values that are much lower than actual temperature readings.

The rain for the South was short lived and not very potent. We need all the rain we can get to claw out of our deficit. There was widespread reports of ice in Northeast Alabama and eastern Tennessee near Knoxville.

Here is a look at some upcoming temperatures for the week. You can see the arctic blast, but it is not going to stick around long. Temperatures will be back to seasonal averages before long...
